Sharicrest Primary Goes Digital

14 July 2022 – Lenasia, Gauteng

Sharicrest Primary, serving over 1,400 children from Themb’elihle informal settlement, has joined the digital age with the installation of a Mandela Digital Learning Platform.

Supported by the Sage Foundation, the platform combines a fully stocked physical library with digital resources including internet access, Curiosity Stream, Smart Board software, Google-shared lesson plans, and coding courses announced in the 2022 Department of Education curriculum update.

“This is investing in the future,” said Robert Coutts. “It’s about giving equal access to tools that will shape the next generation.”
