Kings Harvest Academy Expands Digital Learning

12 February – Eastern Cape

Kings Harvest Academy — the rural KwaZulu-Natal school that pioneered the Mandela Digital Learning Platform in 2018 — has done it again. After proving its worth during the 2020 pandemic by sharing resources with nearby schools, the academy received its second Smart Board and Digital Learning Platform for its Mount Frere campus.

This upgrade includes tablets for students, interactive classroom software, and free educational content from Grade R to university level. “These rural children are now on par with any child in the world when it comes to technology in the classroom,” said Principal Mr Stuart.

With nine campuses planned, Kings Harvest is setting a new standard for what’s possible in South African rural education.
